The Dysfunctional Gardener

I am a gardener.I am also dysfunctional. I love plants. I want them all in my own personal garden.I cannot say no to a growing thing and I continue to bring in new ones. I could be called a Hoarder.
I am pretty good with trees, flowers and shrubs. But I am not so good with veggies. Part of the problem is that I want too much. I over crowd. I am also pretty inexperienced with veggies. I don't know them very well and what they know about me, they don't like. When the seeds sprout and you are supposed to thin ,(that would be demonstrating "tough love"), I can't do it and then I have what I mentioned before...overcrowding!
Just because we have a dysfunctional past I am not giving up! 2 years ago my husband built me a garden box for my vegetables. I put in too many tomatoes and a ton of other stuff. I have not impressed myself with any kind of a yield. I am also trying to be organic.
So, Here I go again...I am documenting the start of my Organic Vegetable Garden 2011!
